Now that was a difficult task to make a film of maybe one of the most controversial books around (when I bought my copy, I was rejected in a couple of shops with disgusted looks ;-))
Now it seemed to be that the brutality of the book would have to go when filmed and so I was prepared, but the little blood here and there served its purpose.
Most importantly the film also caught the feeling of doubt that you get from reading the book, is it real or just a coke inflicted dream?
